Fabulous result in Alexandra Hill- Why preparation is everything

I am happy and proud to announce my most recent sale which was done and dusted before the owners and I could blink.

Initially we were a little unsure of how things would go – my owners had only been in the property for just under two years and while they had made a few cosmetic changes such as paint and new carpet the house and garden were basically the same. The economy has been though a time of record low inflation with little economic growth. In real estate this is often a climate for a negative result with “breaking even” the optimum result to be hoped for. I noted that two other houses had been for sale in the street for a few weeks offering similar number of bedrooms and bathrooms and remained unsold.

When first seeing the home it was evident this young family had been way too busy to focus on home presentation! By putting our heads together we managed to draw up a plan of attack which was implemented over the following weeks. By working as a team and engaging some help from friends and family we were ready in under a month. The final styling session added all the finishing touches and visual appeal that revealed the great “bones” that had always been there – it just needed a little help to be shown at its best.

A young couple who had been looking for some time pounced the same day the property was uploaded and in record time contracts were signed on excellent terms for the Sellers and above the asking price!
